The 30-Day HR Diagnostic

29 questions I work through when I inherit an HR function.

This is the actual list, in the order I run it. Risk first, not convenience. The first three sections are where organizations get sued. The last four are where they lose money and time.

Every item is a question with a bad answer underneath it. The bad answers are real. I've found all of them, more than once, in organizations that believed they were in reasonable shape.

Check items off as you go. Your progress saves in this browser. Nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is stored on my end.

Nobody passes this list clean. I never have, at any organization I've walked into, including ones with an HR department already in place. Finding things is the point.

Work through it in order. The first three sections are what an attorney asks about. Fix those before you touch anything that would look better on a dashboard.
